The moment materials meet, crack, and transform — this sequence of events has been at the core of her practice.

In this exhibition, small works made in the United States are brought together with recent pieces from the A Lump of Feelings series. Different times, different fires. Yet the question remains the same.

Fruits, Homes, Animals — these works were born through distinct firing methods: raku, gas soda, anagama, and pit firing. Each carries the memory of its own fire. The small scale is not a limitation. If anything, the relationships between place, time, and material become more concentrated, more intense.

In A Lump of Feelings, stone and clay are fired as one. The stone cracks, the clay shifts, and the two emerge as a single mass. It is accident, event, and trace of repair all at once.

What the fire kept breathes quietly inside these small forms.

Fruits、Homes、Animals——

「A Lump of Feelings」

March 24–29, 2026 The Ray & Georgia Gough Design Research SpaceCollege of Visual Arts & Design, UNT Ar…

[39,37,38,15,21,31,11
130,117,116,58,59,54,55,44,42,43
